Scarborough
- 01
Is the studio women-only?
Yes! The Good Core is a women-only studio designed to be a comfortable, welcoming space for women of all experience levels. During class, blinds remain closed, and doors are locked to ensure privacy and minimize interruptions.
- 02
Do I need Pilates experience?
Not at all. Beginners are welcome in every class. Our instructors provide modifications and progressions throughout class, allowing you to work at a level that feels appropriate for your body, experience, and goals.
Looking for a starting point? We recommend Pilates Flow or Core & Sculpt.
- 03
What should I wear?
Wear comfortable fitness attire that allows you to move freely. Form-fitting clothing can make it easier for instructors to assess alignment and provide adjustments, but your comfort always comes first. Grip socks are recommended but not required.
- 04
Do I need to bring anything to class?
Just yourself. Mats, weights, and all class equipment are provided. You're welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer. Water bottles are also available for purchase at the studio.
- 05
How early should I arrive?
If it's your first visit, we recommend arriving 10 minutes early so you have time to get settled and meet your instructor.
Doors lock 5 minutes after class begins. Late arrivals will not be admitted and the class will be forfeited.
- 06
What if I have an injury or I'm pregnant?
Many injuries and pregnancies can be accommodated with modifications. If you have an injury, are pregnant, or have any concerns about participating, we encourage you to contact us before your first class so we can discuss your individual needs.
Please arrive 10 minutes early to speak with your instructor before class begins. They will be happy to provide modifications and support throughout the session.
- 07
Can I cancel or reschedule a class?
Yes. Classes may be cancelled and rescheduled provided the cancellation is made at least 12 hours before the scheduled class start time and the credit remains within its active date range.
Classes cancelled within 12 hours of the scheduled class start time and no-shows will forfeit the class credit. A no-show fee will apply if you do not attend a scheduled class without cancelling in advance.
- 08
How do memberships work?
Memberships have a three-month commitment and are billed monthly. After the initial commitment period, memberships automatically continue month-to-month and may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice from your billing date.
Membership credits reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. Any unused classes will expire at the end of the billing period.
Memberships are intended for individual use and cannot be shared or transferred. If you're looking for a flexible option to share with family or friends, we recommend one of our class packs.
To make changes to your membership, please email us at info@thegoodcore.co.
- 09
Can I share a class pack with family or friends?
Absolutely. Class packs can be shared with family members or friends, making them a flexible option if you're attending together or sharing classes.
- 10
Do class packs expire?
Yes. Each class pack includes an expiry date, which can be found on the pricing page at the time of purchase.
- 11
What is your refund policy?
All purchases are non-refundable. If you're unable to use the remaining classes in your class pack, you may transfer them to a friend or family member.

- 03
Do I need experience to take a class?

How is this different from the mat studio in Scarborough?
The Markham studio uses a spring-loaded carriage machine that provides both support and resistance throughout each movement. While the equipment is different, the experience stays the same: instructor-led classes rooted in precision, control, and strength. Scarborough will continue to offer mat-based classes exclusively.
- 05
Will you offer different class styles?
Yes. Just like our Scarborough studio, Markham will offer a variety of class styles with different areas of focus, designed to build strength throughout the body.
- 06
How long are classes at the Markham studio?
Classes will be 50 minutes long at the Markham studio.
